HOW I CAN I GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU?

The easiest way to get a table is to book online, and if you would like to speak to us about something specific we are available by phone Tuesday till Saturday 14.30-17.30. Note that when we open at 16.30 we will focus on the guests at hand. You can also send us an email at hello@vinotek1.se and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.

SO, WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS VINOTEKET?

It’s a cozy neighbourhood wine bar that stocks around 300 different bottles of wine from all over the world, plus a couple of selected beers & ciders. We also serve tapas food with a Mediterranean flair as well as pizza with great toppings. Throw in some Amari or a Gin & Tonic and life is pretty good around here.

WOW, BUT HOW MANY WINES ARE AVAILABLE BY THE GLASS?

Well, on our chalk board you’ll find Champagne, Cava, Prosecco as well as five white and five red wines we select and change often as its always fun for our guests to try new flavours. On top of that we have different wines available as flights and if there is anything specific you want to try, ask and we’ll try to help you out.

SO IF I AM CURIOUS, DO YOU HAVE A SOMMELIER TO ASK AT HAND?

Naturally we do, considering our extensive range of wines. There are three sommeliers on our regular staff, as well as three more that help out during weekend shifts.

HOW FUN, DO YOU ARRANGE FLIGHTS OR HOLD TASTINGS?

We actually do both. There are four different flights on our daily menu and a couple of times a year, we have winemakers visiting us that hold tastings to talk more about their wines and answer guest questions. If you want to arrange something special with your company or with interested friends or family, call or send us an email with some key words about which areas or grapes that intrigue you as well as a budget proposal.

HOW LARGE GROUPS CAN YOU ACCOMODATE?

The largest group we can seat together is 16 people and for this we have a separate room with one large table for groups of 9-16 people. Here dinner is served family style, which makes for a warm, jovial and friendly atmosphere. We do have two tables that seat eight people and one table seating six, while the rest are for smaller groups. Guests also tend to sit at the bar and eat, which they also find fun for interacting more with the staff.

A STICKY POINT, CAN OUR LARGE GROUP PAY SEPARATELY?

Sadly not as you understand, considering there are other guests in the restaurant at the same time and usually with new groups arriving in the same space of time, we can’t dedicate one staff to separate a bill into smaller ones for 20 minutes. We can help out by sending an invoice or you can divide the bill by using three credit cards and use the Swedish equivalent of Swish between each other, something we notify beforehand.

I LOVE YOUR BESPOKE WALLPAPER, WHO DID THAT?

Our own illustrator and muse, Helene Boman Bengtsson, hand drew the wallpaper and then printed it. A creative soul, Helene has a keen eye for details and among other things, runs a company called ”Charlies Inredningsänglar” together with her colleague Lotta Paola Ryn. Together they’ve helped numerous companies and restaurants with interior decorating and business profiles.

DO I NEED TO BOOK OR CAN I JUST DROP BY?

Although we have a couple of tables open for walk-ins, it’s always safest to book ahead especially as weekends can be a bit crazy and sometimes you do need to book a couple of weeks ahead. But if you are easy going, you can dine or drink in the bar which many guests find sociable.

WHAT CREDIT CARDS DO YOU ACCEPT AS PAYMENT?

American Express, Visa and Mastercard. For larger groups we can send you an invoice if agreed upon by email, before arriving.

FOR OTHERS TO ENJOY, DO YOU SELL GIFT CARDS?

Yes, we do and at the moment we sell them at the bar in the restaurant. Gift cards are valid for 365 days from the day of purchase and start from the amount of 500 SEK. One of our partners is right now working to create a digital version but we are not there yet and will let you know as soon we do.

OLD OR YOUNG, IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

We operate a wine bar and the legal alcohol drinking age of our patrons is 18 years of age. Our staff has the right to ask a guest they believe to be a minor for their identification and without it a right to refuse to serve them alcohol. We recommend children to be of the age of at least 5 years old and under parent supervision, but note that the room for strollers in our restaurant is limited. Since we move around with hot frying pans and plates of food, heavy wine bottles and wooden boards, this is the reason why we do not want to end up in an accident with children that run around unattended.

OUR FRIEND IS CELEBRATING A BIRTHDAY, CAN WE POP A CONFETTI BOMB?

Yeah, try it at your own place! At Vinoteket the cleaning fee starts at 500 SEK.

BELOVED PETS, CAN YOU BRING YOUR DOG WITH YOU?

Yes you can but only in our entrance bar area where you can relax with your four legged friend.

FASHION, IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

No. We are not the Fashion Police nor a Country Club. But we do hope you dress fresh and comfortably and we do reserve the right to refuse you if you do not dress appropriately.

OPENING HOURS?

Tuesday till Saturday from 16.30 and as to how long we stay open, that depends on the number of guests we entertain but normally we close around 23.00 on week nights and by midnight during the weekends.
